A) It's a constant juggle trying to keep her out of the sun, yet occupied. Considering she hates staying in one place, I needed to keep her super entertained so that she'd be willing to stay under the umbrella. No reading or relaxing for me!
B) She wants to eat the sand.
C) No matter what I did, it seemed sand was constantly near/in her eyes, as well as many other places! Sweaty baby plus sand made for a messy girl. She had to get sand scrubbed out of all her little arm creases and leg rolls ;)
Well, despite these struggles, Dyllan did really well and I was pleased with how things went. While it's not really a "vacation" since it's so much extra work, it's still a ton of fun to now have her in our lives and along on our adventures with us. Trying new things with her and, most importantly, watching her enjoy them, is worth all the work!
Lugged the exersaucer down to the beach house to keep her occupied....
Dyllan's first trip to the boardwalk. We thought she'd love looking around at everything but the cool breeze and bumpy planks of the boardwalk was the perfect equation for a long nap...
