Dyllan's Family

As Dyllan's Mommy and Daddy we will give her all of our love. But we also feel very fortunate to have a wonderful group of extended family members who will provide her with extra love and support as well!! We have had many family members to the house and our parents and siblings were there to meet Dyllan only an hour after her arrival :)

Two Weeks Old!

Two weeks today from her "birth day," Dyllan is continuing to do great. She's getting stronger and more alert every day. Linz is starting to feel better every day as well. In fact, we all got out of the house for the first time for a quick dinner last night. It was a brief outing but it was great to emerge from our cave! Dyllan slept so well during the outing that she was still sleeping when we got home (see above!). She definitely loves being snug in her carseat and going for a ride in the car.

Our 2 Babies

The first baby of the household (our Golden Retriever Lucy) is more than a little confused why all of our attention has now shifted to a new baby. She's been great with Dyllan so far...very cautious of her and gentle when she's nearby...but we're sure she's pretty sad that she's no longer the sole recipient of our affection. She has let out quite a few big sighs when Dyllan starts crying and we run to tend to her. But "Dad" has made an effort to make our "golden baby" still feel loved. Here he is while the two girls take a nap.

First bath!

Dyllan had one of her important "firsts" last night...her first bath in her baby tub. She wasn't too thrilled with it, as you can see from the photo, but we worked fast and got her nice and snug in a towel.

One week old

It was one week yesterday since Dyllan arrived into this world. We are so blessed to have her in our lives and every day is a new and exciting experience. The above are a few photos that we've taken of our sweet girl since getting home.

She's HERE!

After so much anticipation and many weeks of believing she'd be here early, Dyllan arrived pretty darn close to her due date. She was due 1/10/10 and arrived into the world on 1/9/10 at 6:59 p.m. Our little girl wasn't so little...she was 9 lbs 4 oz!! She gave her mommy quite a tough time in her delivery but we couldn't be more thrilled to finally have her with us. Here are some pics of our sweet baby girl.

Waiting Game

No news of Dyllan's arrival yet. We are getting incredibly anxious. In the meantime we've tried to keep ourselves busy without going too far from home. We had a quiet Christmas and stayed in the area as Linz is especially uncomfortable in the car and we feel better being close to the hospital. We had a nice Christmas dinner with the Aspinall's. But we got to celebrate Christmas again on the 26th with the siblings from the Getz side (or Kilian and Reichl!), as well as our adorable nieces, Joe's parents and Nana. It was fun to have 2 Christmases this year and temporarily got our minds off of "waiting." Here's a photo from Christmas #2 on the Saturday after. Note Linz is wearing the same shirt as previously posted photo...unfortunately it's one of only a couple that actually still covers her big belly!
