A Girl and her Dog (and her stickers)

Dyllan absolutely ADORES our dog Lucy. While we can't say the feeling is totally mutual (Lucy spends a lot of time "sighing" and trying to avoid D's path), Lucy has been a very well behaved dog with the baby. Even though her looks just scream "Is she serious?" she will put up with Dyllan's antics. Those antics have included trying to ride the dog like a horse, laying on her, and chasing her around the house. Recently it also included putting stickers all over her. Lucy definitely gave us "the look" but she laid there and let Dyllan go to work. Dyllan took the job very seriously. Lucy does a lot of loud sighs, and if she knew how, would probably roll her eyes too
But she still stayed put and let Dyllan play...

Cousins

Dyllan had a great time playing with her cousin Payton this weekend when we visited with Joe's family. She definitely loves her cousin...

In the Kitchen

This past weekend my sister and I hit up some of my favorite kid's consignment sales.....and I came home with a play kitchen. It wasn't something I was really planning to buy but it was in good shape and the right price, so we crammed it in the SUV. I was a little nervous to report to Joe what I came home with, but he was very receptive to it. While Dyllan took her afternoon nap I cleaned it up real well and Joe got all the little light-up parts and sounds working and we had it waiting for her when she came out from her nursery. It felt like Christmas! And it's been some of the best 30 bucks I spent yet as it definitely keeps Dyllan occupied and I find I can get more stuff done while she "cooks" in her kitchen. It was also a HUGE hit with all her little friends....

There's no question that this window is the favorite part of the kitchen (for everyone)

Dyllan had a hard time sharing her window with the other kids. She kept resting her head on the windowsill

Even the boys fought over who got to hang out in the window

But somehow Dyllan kept showing up there, with a cute little smirk...

Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho off to the park we go...

My posts seem to be getting futher apart, and with this nice weather, that may continue to happen...but here's a little update...

Dyllan is speed walking everywhere. She even tries to run. And with this great weather she LOVES being outside. This weekend we spent a lot of time outdoors. On Friday, when it hit the 70s, we headed over to the local park so Dyllan could play on the playground. Enjoy some pics of our little trip...

"Hurry up mom and dad!!!" Dyllan has her jacket in hand and is closing the front door so we can head out!

On the Go!

It's been a while since my last post...largely because all the sicknesses that have been going around have hit our household as well. It started with a high fever and cold for Dyllan, and pretty much spread through the whole family. We are finally feeling better!

A LOT has happened. After lots of waiting, Dyllan finally started cutting her first two teeth (on the bottom). Equally, if not more, exciting...Dyllan is officially WALKING. She is really on the go and even though it's double the work now (I spend half my day chasing her), it's also such a joy to see her walking around like a big girl. She's growing up so fast...

Happy Birthday Hubby!

Well, Joe finally caught up with me and turned 29 last week. Even though I'm only one month older he makes a big deal for that whole month how I'm his old lady ;) Well, we're both now just one year from the big 3-0! Trying not to think about it too much, hahaha. Seriously though, the time is just flying lately. Since we've had Dyllan, everything seems to move so much faster. Maybe it's because the days are just so busy that they're flying by. Or maybe it's because she grows so much every day. Whatever the reason, there are days I wish things would just slow down a bit!

Anyways, Joe and I got to have a nice baby-free dinner for his birthday last week at the Epicurean in Phoenixville. Yum! And then this past weekend we got to celebrate with some of Joe's family. Heather and Craig brought Payton down and it was so much fun watching them play together. Even though Joe always says he's not that into birthdays, I think it was a nice one for him....

I got Joe a football ice cream cake (and not just because it was on sale for the Super Bowl...he was a football player!!)

Time really is flying by. Here is Joe on his birthday LAST YEAR...

Monkeying Around

Tonight we all headed out to Pottstown to check out Monkey Joe's. It's an inflatable play area. Dyllan has been cranky lately (teething- finally???!!) and we just needed to get out of the house for a while. She had a blast....
